The Northlake Fire Department was called to a house fire at 412 N. Laporte Avenue yesterday, arriving to find thick smoke pouring from all sides of the building. Recognizing the severity of the situation, they escalated the response to a MABAS Box Alarm, which brought in additional units from several departments within MABAS Division 20. Dave Traiforos, a local photographer, arrived on the scene shortly after the first responding units and captured a series of powerful images showing the conditions as crews arrived and worked throughout the incident.
Dave Traiforos has compiled a full gallery of photos and videos from the incident, which you can view here. For more details, the *Franklin Park Herald-Journal* (Sun Times Media) published an article covering the event, available here.
