Shandong's largest ordinary tower crane acceptance

Recently, the Shandong Provincial Special Inspection Institute successfully completed the type test for the QTZ250 (7030) tower crane, which was designed by Shandong Fuyou Co., Ltd. and Shandong Wansida Group. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the development of advanced construction equipment within the province. The QTZ250 tower crane is a high-performance model with a rated lifting torque of 2500 kN·m. It can reach an independent height of 48 meters and an attached height of up to 220 meters. With a maximum outreach of 70 meters and a maximum lifting capacity of 16 tons, it is well-suited for large-scale infrastructure projects. The crane features a modular design using a chip structure and pin shaft connections, ensuring flexibility and ease of assembly. Its hoisting system uses a dual-wound motor with differential transmission, while the slewing and luffing mechanisms are powered by torque motors, enhancing precision and efficiency. As one of the largest and most technologically advanced ordinary tower cranes produced in Shandong, the QTZ250 has been widely adopted in various fields such as bridge construction, high-rise buildings, and municipal engineering projects. Its robust design and advanced technology make it a reliable choice for complex and demanding environments. Upon receiving the application for the type test, the Shandong Special Inspection Institute immediately prioritized the project. The leadership team showed strong support, and technical staff worked diligently to develop a comprehensive testing plan. With the cooperation of the company’s engineers and production teams, inspectors conducted thorough stress tests on the main load-bearing components, analyzed structural integrity, and evaluated the performance of key mechanisms. They also inspected the safety devices and the quality of metal structure connections. After three days of intense and meticulous work, the type test was successfully completed. During the process, inspectors engaged in detailed discussions with both the design and manufacturing teams to address any issues identified. Comprehensive and practical improvement measures were proposed to ensure the crane meets all required safety and performance standards. This successful type test not only confirms the quality and reliability of the QTZ250 tower crane but also highlights the growing expertise of the Shandong Provincial Special Inspection Institute in conducting rigorous and professional evaluations of construction machinery. It represents a new level of capability and confidence in the national tower crane inspection field.
