Denso plans to build a third factory in Indonesia

Comprehensive foreign media reports that the current electric Indonesian joint venture is expected to invest 200 million U.S. dollars in Indonesia to open a third auto parts factory.

Denso Indonesia's joint venture company said that the new plant will be built in the West Java area (West Java) and is expected to start construction in November this year, and will start production of the spare parts needed by local auto companies in 2014.

In the first seven months of 2012, Indonesia's vehicle sales increased by 25.86% year-on-year to 637,778 vehicles, driving the import spending on automobiles and spare parts to increase by 45.29% year-on-year to US$4.94 billion. The Ministry of Industry of Indonesia hopes that after the new plant will be put into operation, it will be able to significantly reduce the cost of spare parts imports.

The Denso Group holds 63.8% of the shares in the Indonesian joint venture company. Currently, the company has established a factory in North Jakarta and Saigonwa, providing spare parts for local automobile companies.
