CCS Energy Efficiency Management Project won the Science and Technology Award of the Society of Navigation

Recently, the “Engineering Energy Efficiency Management and Operation System Technology Development and Application” project completed by China Classification Society (CCS) won the second prize of the 2012 China Navigation Society Science and Technology Award.
According to the relevant requirements of the International Maritime Organization in improving energy efficiency of ships and controlling carbon emissions from ships, as well as relevant planning and policies in China, on the basis of studying the development trend of controlling carbon emissions at home and abroad, CCS is in energy efficiency management, energy efficiency measures, monitoring and analysis, etc. The department carried out systematic research and formulated the “Code for Certification of Energy Efficiency Management of Ships” to guide enterprises to establish an energy efficiency management system that meets the requirements of various parties and has industry characteristics; developed a shipping energy efficiency database and application system, and built a network platform for shipping energy efficiency monitoring and analysis. To provide relevant tools for the macro-monitoring of competent authorities and the implementation of energy efficiency management by shipping companies; the development of the “Guidelines for the Best Operation of Ship Energy Efficiency” and the “Guidelines for the Preparation and Verification of Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan” to provide guidance for shipping companies to formulate energy efficiency management measures and effectively implement them. .
The “Operational Energy Efficiency Management and Operation System Technology Development and Application” project has realized innovations in energy efficiency management concepts, measures implementation and management tools. The implementation of the project is conducive to improving the energy efficiency management mode of enterprises, improving the industry energy conservation monitoring, service and management system; facilitating the establishment of shipping energy conservation statistics, monitoring and assessment systems, and providing the national competent authorities with the assessment, deployment and adjustment of energy conservation and emission reduction priorities. Decision-making reference; Conducive to the promotion of advanced energy-saving technologies and experience, promote ship type optimization and capacity optimization, improve the energy efficiency level of the whole industry; help to form a market mechanism that is in line with international standards, and gradually realize the regulation and market from the perspective of administrative management Mechanism-led transition.
The results of the project have been widely used in shipping companies such as China Ocean Shipping (Group) Corporation and China Shipping (Group) Corporation, and have achieved good economic and social benefits. According to the statistics of the expert group of the Ministry of Transport, since the implementation of systematic energy efficiency management, through the adoption of management and technical measures, Dalian Ocean Shipping Company has saved 13,000 tons of fuel, and China Shipping Container Transportation Company has saved 56,000 tons of fuel. COSCO Container Transportation Company has saved fuel. 202,000 tons.
