From October 15th to 16th, the car tire product recall regulations and tire safety seminar were held in Xiamen, Fujian. It is learned that perfecting the tire recall system will become one of the key tasks of the relevant state departments in the next stage.
It is understood that in the past 15 years, the average number of tires recalled per year in the United States has been 11.5, and the number of recalled tires has reached 2.17 million. China has only conducted three tire recalls, with a total of 770,000.
Experts attending the meeting said that the small number of tire recalls in China is not because the quality of tires is better than that of the United States, but because of the current status of the tire industry development stage and the degree of perfection of relevant systems. As China's tire industry continues to develop, the problem of insufficient recall of car tires needs to be resolved as soon as possible.
The seminar was hosted by the United Nations Rubber Tire Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of the Automotive Service Division of the China Standard Technology Group Corporation. The contents of the meeting include: the recall system of Chinese and foreign automobile tires; the analysis of the recall and recall management of China's automobile tires; the introduction of tire safety standards, the characteristics of different frameworks such as the EU and the United States; the common quality problems of Chinese tire products and their causes.
As an important safety part of a car, tires may cause traffic accidents and casualties in the event of a malfunction. According to the organizer, developed countries have already included tires as important auto parts in the scope of motor vehicle safety supervision. China's officially implemented Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls clearly stipulates that tires should be included in the scope of recall supervision, requiring tire companies to assume the recall obligations of defective tire products. The purpose of this seminar is to improve the tire companies' understanding of the domestic and international recall system, and help tire companies to correctly respond to product quality complaints and "three guarantees" claims, defect investigations and recall supervision.
The seminar was hosted by Zhao Hongchun, secretary of the China Standards and Technology Group. Wang Hao, deputy director of the Defective Product Management Center of the AQSIQ, Yin Yan, director of the research department, Ma Liang, director of the National Rubber Tire Quality Supervision and Inspection Center, deputy director Li Hongwei, China Standardization Wang Zongling, secretary of the institute, Wu Yousheng, director of the automobile department of China Standard Technology Group, and Hu Xiaodong, chief operating officer of Tourco, gave speeches at the meeting. Nearly 50 domestic and foreign key tire companies participated in the meeting.
