Zhou Huaiming, director of the Economic and Information Technology Committee of Huairou District, Beijing, revealed in an interview with reporters that there are two major projects in the Huairou automobile industry next year: ensure that the Auman Heavy Truck Plant No. 2 is completed and put into production, and that the joint-venture heavy truck project between Foton and Mercedes-Benz Daimler is fully promoted. The former invests 2.6 billion yuan, can produce 80,000 heavy-duty trucks annually, and realizes a production capacity of 24 billion yuan. The models will be positioned in the high-end Auman heavy trucks, and will meet Euro 4 emission standards. It is expected to be completed and put into production by the end of next year. The latter invested 6.3 billion and will produce the internationally leading M457 engine. After the joint venture, it will not only obtain the core technology, but also share the overseas market with Daimler. It is expected that the annual sales revenue of the above two projects can reach 50 billion yuan after they reach production.
Director Zhou also disclosed that Beijing Huairou District will also build a 200-acre automobile industry park near the second plant of Futian Heavy-duty Truck Plant in the next year. The park will include two parts of auto parts and logistics base, which will attract more than 300 cars nationwide after completion. Parts companies enter.
