To build a special automobile production base in various parts of China, the future development presents three major trends

For the coming 12th Five-Year Period, China's special-purpose auto industry will present three major development trends under the dual role of policies and markets in the next five years.

Strong localization

In Changchun City, Jilin Province, which is known as the Auto City, automobiles have already become the first pillar industry. However, special vehicles are always a short board. At present, there are 18 special-purpose automobile companies in Changchun City with an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles, which only accounts for about 3% of the total national output. In order to change this situation, Changchun City plans to add 100,000 special-purpose vehicle production capacity in the next five years, and establish Changchun as a domestic special-purpose vehicle manufacturing base, striving to account for 10% of the country's total output.

The creation of a special-purpose automobile manufacturing base in Changchun is a microcosm of the current trend of localization of the special-purpose automobile industry in China. This trend is also evident in Liangshan County in Shandong Province and Suizhou City in Hubei Province. Liangshan County strives to build a Chinese trailer (special vehicle) production base. It has brought together more than 100 special-purpose automobile production enterprises and formed an industrial chain from component parts to complete vehicle integration. Suizhou is positioning China's special-purpose automobile capital, relying on its development base for decades, and forming a unique regional development advantage. In the first 10 months of 2010, Suizhou produced and sold more than 50,000 special-purpose vehicles, ranking the first in the country.

In addition, Liaoning, Ningxia, Fujian, Zhengzhou, Tianjin and other places are also building their own special-purpose automobile production bases. Many experts stated that with the completion of the construction of a dedicated vehicle production base during the 12th Five-Year Plan period, the regional development trend of China's special-purpose vehicles will become more apparent, and the effect of industrial clusters will increase significantly. However, it is necessary for local governments to be vigilant that, in the case where the overall level of development of the special-purpose auto industry is not high, the market order will be easily disrupted by some unqualified small-scale enterprises, and it is difficult to form an effective cluster advantage.

Grouping trend is obvious

In parallel with the development of localization, the trend of grouping in the special-purpose auto industry will become more apparent. After several decades of development, domestic carrier-class companies have emerged as China's aircraft carrier-class companies. In particular, with CIMC acquiring or holding companies such as Kagel, Huajun and Shengdain, they have successively established new production bases for special vehicles and trailers. At present, CIMC Group has been located in the Northeast, North China, East China, Central China, and Northwest China. With more than 20 production bases, it has become the world's largest dedicated car (trailer) manufacturing group.

In addition to such rising stars as CIMC, the traditional veteran of the domestic automotive industry, such as FAW Jiefang, Dongfeng, CNHTC, and Shaanxi Automobile, has also continued to expand its business in the field of special vehicles. In 2009, China National Heavy Duty Auto Group Co., Ltd. together with Huawei Special Purpose Vehicle Co., Ltd., which is the capital of China's special vehicles, established Sinogas Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. to develop tank cars. Through years of research and development, FAW Group has successfully developed China's first urban fire fighting main vehicle with independent intellectual property rights. .

Wang Huanmin, director of the Hanyang Special Purpose Vehicle Research Institute and Secretary General of the Special Branch of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, stated that after the development of the “10th Five-Year Plan” and “Eleventh Five-Year Plan”, China’s special-purpose auto industry has formed a number of distinctive enterprises. The representative group of special vehicles is gradually growing. Central enterprises such as CNAC and Weaponry are also increasing their efforts in the development of special-purpose vehicle groups. During the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” period, the special-purpose auto industry will continue to support and encourage the development of corporate groups.

High-tech will become the industry hotspot

In Suizhou, Hubei, the capital of China's special-purpose vehicle, the marriage of enterprises, universities and research institutes is becoming a trend. At present, the city has more than 90 specialized vehicle manufacturing enterprises and more than 100 colleges and universities, research institutes across the country to carry out research and production cooperation. The sustained and healthy development of special-purpose vehicles must be supported by science and technology, and the continuous promotion of the high-techization of special-purpose vehicles is the driving force behind the prosperity of special-purpose vehicles. The alloy high-performance heavy-duty automotive brake is a product jointly developed by the local full-strength casting company and Wuhan University of Technology. It not only fills the gaps in the industry, it solves the technical problems of heavy-duty vehicle braking failure, and it is also exported to the United Kingdom, the United States, and Italy. Australia and more than a dozen countries. In addition, the three-axle airbag suspension semi-trailer with the leading domestic level, such as Chusheng and Wuhan University of Technology, and the road monitoring vehicles developed by Heli and Wuhan University have greatly improved the domestic special vehicle industry. The level of science and technology in related fields.

This scene of the special-purpose vehicle base in Suizhou reflects the current status of the ever-increasing level of science and technology in China's special-purpose auto industry. In Liangshan, some special-purpose auto companies also invited professors from prestigious institutions to establish academician workstations to develop special vehicles and key components with high technological content and high added value. In Changchun, FAW's self-developed urban main battle fire trucks have made great achievements at the 2010 International Fire Engine Show. They have not only attracted the attention of domestic companies in the same field, but also attracted the attention of many top fire engine manufacturers in the world.
