At around the 23500 block of Route 47 in Saunemin, Illinois, there was a serious accident involving a semi-truck and a van. Both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames when emergency responders arrived. Unfortunately, there was one fatality confirmed from the van. Local emergency services from Saunemin, Cullom, Pontiac, and Odell have all been dispatched to the scene.
Attached are several photos taken by Bill Schreiber at the site. These images capture the aftermath of the crash, showing the extent of the damage to both vehicles. The severity of the fire is clearly visible, and it’s a somber reminder of the dangers on our roads.
