Late on Sunday evening, around 7:30 PM, the Northbrook Police Department received an urgent call from a local resident. They reported a fire breaking out in a second-floor bedroom located at 613 Michelline Lane. As soon as the first responding fire units arrived, they confirmed it was an active fire situation. The initial Code 3 alarm was then escalated to a more serious Code 4. Thanks to swift actions by the firefighters, the blaze was brought under control relatively quickly and remained confined to just one section of the second floor. Luckily, all residents had already evacuated the house before the fire department arrived on the scene.
Mutual aid support came from neighboring departments including Glenview Truck 14, Glenview Engine 8, and Prospect Heights Engine 39. These teams played a crucial role in ensuring the fire didn't spread further.
