China Academy of Electric Power Equipment voltage transformer calibration research project was accepted

[China Instrument Network Instrument R&D] The maintenance of the primary equipment status of the power system can reduce the operating cost and reduce the equipment failure rate, which is an inevitable trend of the power grid development. As an important part of the digital power system, the stability and reliability of the electronic transformer are the guarantee for stable operation of the power system. Recently, the State Grid voltage transformer on-site calibration research project has passed acceptance. The project is led by the China Electric Power Research Institute.

The project proposed a new method for on-line monitoring of voltage transformers, and established a complete verification system, which has important breakthrough significance for carrying out the transfer test of substation voltage transformers in the future. It is understood that it has been successfully applied to the Changchun substation in Jilin, and it is in good condition.

Compared with traditional transformers, electronic transformers have the advantages of large dynamic range, good transient performance, and digital output. They have been adapted to the development direction of smart grids and have therefore been rapidly developed in recent years.

Earlier, the China Electric Power Research Institute carried out relevant research in this area and cooperated with the Hubei company to complete the on-line calibration of voltage transformers and current transformers, and realized voltage transformers and currents in 110kv/220kv substations. The transformer's ratio difference and phase difference as well as the transformer secondary load and secondary voltage drop are tested without power failure.

The number of voltage transformers used in China's power system is huge, and it is of far-reaching significance to carry out research on field charged calibration of voltage transformers.
