Basell North America has introduced a new AdsyPP sealing resin designed for the latest generation of high-speed BOPP film production lines. "Based on Catalloy technology from Basell, these new grade resins are said to establish new standards for 105e sealing layer materials. Adsyl5C30FST, 5D37FST and 5C39FST The /ST0 stands for /speed 0 and /transparent 0. In European customer test, these resins run at speeds of up to 420m/min, far exceeding the standard of 300-350m/min, and the resin outperforms the standard in the transparent type. In the 20Lm film, AdsylST resin achieved higher transparency than 25% of the films made from traditional PP. Customers using AdsylST test reported that the films produced had fewer defects and more uniform thickness.
