> "Engine 84 was called to a massive tire fire on the evening of July 9, 2019. The incident took place at an address on 300 East 56th Street. The firefighters were met with a towering inferno as a huge stack of tires went up in flames. It was quite a sight, especially under the cover of darkness."

The firefighters did an incredible job containing the situation despite the challenging conditions. Tire fires can be particularly tough to extinguish due to the amount of smoke and toxic fumes they produce.
