Chicago Still Alarm fire 8-23-13

3622 Chicago Avenue. A 3-story building, 50 x 75 feet, with businesses on the first floor and apartments above. The incident was reported at 06:04 hours. Smoke was reported at 95. Engine 44 connected to the hydrant on the southwest corner and deployed a 2 1/2-inch line to the rear. Ladder Truck 26 was assigned to Sector 2. A large pile of debris was found on the first floor at the back of the building.

Response units included: 44, 95, 346, 336, 242, Rit, 345, 237, 552, and 271. Battalion 13 was occupied with a SWAT team warrant, so they couldnâ€™t respond immediately.
