China's first 2800 kW planetary gear reducer has recently successfully passed the on-site evaluation organized by the China Coal Industry Association at Hebei Jinniu Energy Co., Ltd.'s Cement Plant. Developed jointly by the Shanghai Branch of the Coal Research Institute and the Suzhou Metallurgical Machinery Factory under Baosteel Group, this reducer marks a significant breakthrough in domestic heavy machinery technology. It is currently the largest planetary gear reducer used in China's building materials and metallurgical sectors.
In September 2004, the reducer was installed in the main drive system of the No. 1 cement mill at Hebei Jinniu Energy's cement factory. After operating for over 7,500 hours, the equipment continues to run smoothly. Key technical indicators such as noise levels, vibration, and temperature rise all meet or exceed design specifications. Industry experts have expressed confidence in its performance and recommend that it be officially launched for broader market adoption.
This development not only enhances China's self-reliance in critical industrial components but also sets a new benchmark for quality and reliability in the sector. With its proven performance, the reducer is expected to play a vital role in improving efficiency and reducing dependency on foreign technology in large-scale industrial applications.
